Re: Hold Down Rod Part Number?
Russ, Okay, thanks. As usual, I appreciate your knowledge of the history of the various versions made: You're always informative! I'll add the washer if I don't already have one in my Help Kit. I'll have to check. I'm using the rod for the Table-Mounted Shaper Guard. The fence I have is an older Gre...

Re: Hold Down Rod Part Number?
Okay, so I just found the part # almost as soon as I submitted this post. It was listed in the parts list of the MKV Mortising System Instructions. The Part number for the Hold Down Rod is 514487 and guess what? I found it by searching that number on their website and it is still available for sale....

Hold Down Rod Part Number?
Does anyone know the part # for the Hold Down Rod for the Mortising System (555810)? I think it's also the same part used on the Router/Shaper Table-Mounted Guard SKU 515704 and the Speed Inreaser SKU 555462. I just got off the phone with Customer Service and she couldn't find the part anywhere. In ...

Re: Model 610 bearings
NyLined Bearing Update: Well, I struck out with BDIExpress.com. I had requested a quote for the Nylined bearings a couple of days ago. They responded back today saying that "Sorry. Neither of these are available to quote anymore. As we cannot get direct." So, I found one other distributor ...

Re: Model 610 bearings
Here's some pictures of removal of the inner plastic or nylon inner sleeves. I used a couple of small eyeglass screw drivers to get behind the plastic sleeve then used a pair of needle nose pliers to grab onto the edge of the sleeve to remove it from the bushing. It might be helpful to use two pairs...

Re: Model 610 bearings
Russ, If it's leaking from the bottom, I think it might be the expansion plug that's the issue. I managed to do a little damage to the top bearing outside sleeve (see ictures below) when I was removing the lower chuck shaft oil seal so I'm going to bring it to a machine shop to have it done. I bough...

Re: Model 610 bearings
Update: I talked to a representative at BdiExpress and the good news is that you can just replace the inner nylon insert without having to press out the outer sleeve/bushing. The part number is 10L12 + NO. 3 OIL GRV. A link to the product page is listed below. I'm still waiting on a price quote from...

Re: Model 610 bearings
Can anyone give me a current Nylined bearing replacement for Part Number 502265 on a 610 jig saw? I am in the process of overhauling a newly acquired jig saw and had the same question about the Nylined bearing. I believe I found a replacement for it. It's a Thomson Nyliner, Standard Straight Sleeve...

Re: 6" Belt Sander Serial Number/Manufacturing Date Listing
Thanks again, Russ. That's very interesting! It's hard to believe that box has held up so well, too!
