Cool, sounds like you're on the right track. The Model 10ER is a bit of a gem, but parts can be found through eBay or Shopsmith directly.

Sounds like you got a lot of great use out of it those tapered shims and jigs must've made the job so much easier.

If rust is quite severe and keys are out of production, then, probably, it will be cheaper to replace it. However if you are passionate about it or like fixing tools, then it might turn out to be a good project.
