I have a chance to pick up a Mark II and 10er for dirt cheap w/ lots of extras. I know the Mark II items will fit my Mark V. Is there a market for the parts I do not need for this less then Ideal system? The 10 er I am going to clean up and parts out or maybe set it up as a drill press.

Maybe this will get SS or someone eles to make a table that can be purchased for a fair price. I looked at the one David Mark uses:eek: , my wife would kill me. Maybe I will just get the bead-lock kit.

I used one for almost a year. It worked fine.The only real proble is the vibration and lack of fine detail work on it. brown_hawk, I do have the Hollow chisel attachment. Just never took the time to use it, as I have heard they are a pain to put on and off and readjust each time.

Thanks chuck, I wwill check it out. The one I was referring to was the top one. My freind just brought one home from grizzly and it makes short work out of this type of work and was hopeing that the ss could do it with out adding one more machine to the shop.

I was wondering if anyone has or knows how to make the Mark5 turn into a sliding mortise machine.http://www.grizzly.com/catalog/2008/Main/81. This is a spindle boring machine grat for mortise joints.

While SS claims to be able to do routing, there speed increser is way to slow. Buy a good 2hp router and be done with it or if it will be used in the table all the time get a 3hp or larger.

Rule 1 - NEVER ENTER THE SHOP IF A MACHINE IS RUNNING!!!!!!!

Rule 2 - Dont set anything down on the equipment unless I give you permission.

Rule 3 - Do not lean on the machines.

Them are the top three for me. These are the ones that really bug when others do them.

My wife likes my Shopsmith Mark V powered, but for that price, check out the Excalibur 21 if you are going to do serious intarsia or other precision work.

That would be nice but at $800, it is beyond what I am willing to pay for a scroll saw. I want to stay around $500 max. I would perffer ...
