When I replaced my seals, I also added aluminum HVAC tape as a second seal. Didn't want any dust escaping thru a crack in the weatherstripping. Cheap insurance while it is clean and apart.

Really nice job Geo!! It looks like a professional cabinet maker made it.:)

Don't sweat the rip fence, you can stand it up beside the band saw. Just trace out the end profile on a 2x4 piece and cut it out with a jig saw or router.

Fred, You really need to roll the unit away from the wall and get behind to get to the jig saw. I usually lift it from the front, but I'm fairly tall and have a good back (so far). ;) The strip sander is at the end and is easy to access. Good question about the stability. I didn't even think about i...

No, I don't travel with the trailer shop right now. It is semi-permanent, but plan to use it for various away from home projects someday.

It has only clogged once when I sucked up a paper towel. I'm careful not to suck up small cutoffs also.

My "shop" is a 24' enclosed trailer. This gives me 190 sq ft. It is insulated, heated and air conditioned. It works great for me, sometimes I break down sheet goods outside, but can do it on the homemade panel saw in the back of trailer if the weather is inclement. I have 2 20 amp circuits...

I too have a DC3300. Using the ideas from the Hands On Video and modifying slightly, here is what I came up with. It works well. 3" Main duct that splits into 2" for each drop. Use the long turn 90's. Ridgid Clean Shop Network down pipes and blast gates. I don't thin...

Terry, The holes are 1/4 and chamfered. I don't know much about building downdrafts. Just guessed at 1/4 and thought I could always make them larger. It works OK for my small DC. Someone here probably has better info on the downdraft box. Bob, Yes, it would be much stronger if the back extended all ...
