Happened to me. I bought a replacement from ebay for I think $40 and it looked new. It even worked better then the old one when it was in one piece.

This fix was not on the Shopsmith. It was on the Legacy Mill that turns the opposite direction.

An interesting thing I found out. I added a live end to my lathe. The lathe I added it to turned the opposite direction, counterclockwise. The ring that holds the bearing together is a counterclockwise thread and will become unscrewed. I needed to add locktight to the threads. Don't know how long th...

One way I glue up my stack of rings are, cut yourself a angled piece of plywood 6x6" with the same angle as you cut your rings at. Place this angled board alongside the stack on at least 4 sides around the stack. This will keep your angle the same so they aligned correctly for gluing.
