My motor won't start up. I was using the machine this afternoon with no problems. I made a few cuts with my bandsaw and turned off the motor to
make a few adjustments and flipped on the switch and the motor just humms.
I can turn the headstock by hand and it seems to turn like normal. Does anyone ...

Oneida Dust Deputy question
I was wondering if anyone has tried the Dust Deputy on their Shopsmith DC3300 vacuum? If it would work, one would not have to remove and clean the large dust hood as often. Any comments?

Oneida Dust Deputy
Wondering if anyone has tried the Oneida Dust Deputy on their shopsmith vacuum. Looks like it might be a nice way to eliminate having to remove and clean the the dust out of the big white bag so often. I seen an ad for one in the American Woodworker magazine this month and watched the video. Any ...

You can get the stronghold chuck from other suppliers. I got mine through Rockler and waited until they had a 20% off sale. It came in a few days.
As far as the adapter goes, I ordered mine right through oneway mfg. It also
came in a few days. I know it is nice to try and keep your business with SS ...

planer blade sharpening question
What's the best way to sharpen planer blades? I have a craftsman planer
and the blades are about 12" long. They are easily removed and I was hoping to find a way to sharpen them on my own. Is there any type of sharpener that is recommended? Thanks for the help.

I have turned a lot of bowls and have had great luck with the "new wave" sanding discs. I get them through Craft Supplies USA. They have a website and I order them on-line. I also use a right angle electric drill. Doesn't catch like the regular drill does. Much easier to control. I have also used a ...

Just a question about gluing the acrylic blanks. I've been using the CA on
them and was wondering if anyone here had any other recommendations. I
haven't had any problems but am always looking for a better way to do things.
I also agree that Gorilla Glue works the best for wooden pen blanks. I have ...
