To me, bogged down and stopped are the same thing. Slight speed variation is normal even with a digitally controlled stepping motor. Agree re bogged down and stopped. Go get a new clip. Common hardware item. It should be a tight fit on the groove near the end of the shaft.

The square keystock is supposed be 'bent' as shown in your picture - however the bent end needs to be positioned down into a recess in end of the keyway(groove) on the idler shaft. First, Welcome. IMHO you got yer $$$$ worth. First ? is it a poly-v drive or a gilmer drive. :I am guessing a poly-v drive. Model wise it is simply a Mark 5 with a "B" headstock and is a goldie/brownie. The Mark V 500 was introduced two decades later. Truth be told, other than color, they ...
