Thank You fer that!

Part of the confusion is created by SS and newly joined users that have little awareness of the old stuff(M5) and do not realize the duplicity of terms.

Re: Looking for Ideas for Storing Shopsmith Tables?

Re: Jointer Cleanup and Repair

In retrospect, I now think cleaning with mineral spirits followed by penetrol wiped off and then JPW after it dries.

All that above may be ludicrous since little penetrol will be left behind.

Re: Looking for Ideas for Storing Shopsmith Tables?

I think Dusty's point is that an EXTENSION table is supported by the SPT mount clamp.

Outboard tables supported by telescoping legs are usually floating tables(although an extension table with legs COULD be used).

Re: Looking for Ideas for Storing Shopsmith Tables?

OK folks do realize the 'swivel' part is NOT designed by SS for any purpose. They are designed to be swivel joints for aluminum railings. As for the poles, light weight applications are typical(tripod, golf ball retrievers , paint roller extension etc. . . . as mentioned above.) Those I have disasse...
