Re: DC-6000 poor performance

I posted this in the video description of the last video shared by RF Guy: Contact Doug via email at: douglas.techno.smith(AT)gmail(DOT)com and let him know that I sent you and that you are interested in a download of his catalog of 3D products, as well as the STL file for the chisel guide.

Re: Re-outfitting a 510 SS to table saw mode

My comment above is that I find the thin kerf binds on the riving knife. But apparently Chris doesn't have that issue I’ve been using thin kerf blades with the 510/20 upper guard ever since SS introduced the SawSmith 2000 in the 90’s. That’s when they introduced their first thin kerf blade. If ever...

Re: Stand alone planer needs some help

Looks like a good solution to me. I don't know if Scott ever found a suitable aftermarket brush cover replacement. No, I never could find one and fortunately my hoarding instinct finally paid-off in that I had a complete spare motor that I was able to swap out. That said, if one of these days I eve...

Re: Re-outfitting a 510 SS to table saw mode

MyGrowthRings is an excellent source of info. You generally can't go wrong following Scott's advice. That said, I'm going to contradict him a little bit. A combo blade would probably be fine if you have a few 1x4 that you want to rip down to, say, 1x2. But as JPG says, if you're doing a lot of ripp...

Thanks for that, RF Guy. Now we will get a bunch of questions about why Shopsmith doesn’t incorporate it!

Re: Close call

I shared a video on my YouTube channel of this exact same thing happening. Stop collars are inexpensive insurance and I’m glad you came out of this without injury.
