thanks again for your help guys! im gonna try that wax first! Wow that table could really use it! Hope that will help pull the boards through! Ill have a multimeter here tomorrow as well as that wax. Ill post results tomorrow P.M. Thanks again

wow! not a stupid question at all! never thought of that! that's a lot easier and cheaper than a new infeed motor! Ill give it a try and let ya know how it worked! Thanks for the comments!

alright JPG, ran a 1x10 through it. Both rollers are moving and the blade is cutting fine, and im not even taking 1/32 off of the plank and it is sluggish as heck trying to push it through. Not sure if theres some sort of tension adjustment on these to help it feed through the planer?

ok...the infeed motor is fine...the rollers are moving and when I turned the dial up, I could visually see the rollers increase there speed. When I bought this Friday, I couldn't hardly push a 1x6 through it. However, the only thing I did was blow the planer out really good. I don't know if it was ...

Ok, but should the infeed roller run while the planer is running or only when I put a board through it? And if it is the dial that's jacked can I purchase a used one somewhere....those babies are expensive to! lol

had it cranked all the way up and still wouldn't budge. Shouldn't I be able to see the rollers moving while the planer is running?

bad infeed motor

morning yall..Im new to the shopsmith community but right off the jump have a problem. I just bought a professional planer and the infeed motor is out. At least I assume it is because it takes everything I got to push a board through it! It did cut nice though. Is this the obvious problem or could ...
