I have no regrets at all yet, but I haven’t done a ton on it yet. Time will tell

I never really liked the legs on the shopsmith so I came up with this. Lots of storage, zero cost. Embarrassed to say this was all made from scrap pine, plywood, mdf and even some cedar. I had way to much!!

I made this years ago, and it really looks well. I have another piece that mounts in the tool rest that will allow me to just have the tool handle supported for my scrapers, parting tools and skews. I realize it’s not the safest without guards so it’s not ...

Never having a problem with the Shopsmith drive center, I must ask - Prior to setting the drive center, do you drill a 1/8" diameter hole (about 1/4" deep) and saw cross kerfs across that hole so they are at right angles to each other? .

Yep, and yep. I messed up mine, and yes it was my fault:eek ...

Does anybody know of a better drive center for the shopsmith. The one that came with the machine has it's spurs bent a little and does not bite very well.
