Hello. National Construction Estimator - I have used their book years back,saves time & money.They do have software,but look for a free trial,if you are not going to be using it regularly.

Hello,I'm new to Shopsmiths,really need help with one of mine-would like to extend way and bench tubes 38" I think butt welded with sleeves inside can work,but would really like to hear from folks who have extended their lathes.
This is so I can turn one piece walking sticks.

mobilizing your base
Hello,I'm a newby,am going to put a mobile base under an extended 500.
Trailer jacks.not cheap,but sturdy,and the screws from junkers at the dump
are good for vises.
