Lots of good ideas here, thanks are in order. I'm going to check out the 1/2 inch tap and die this weekend.
The threads are needed for the pendulum adjustment for an all wood clock. The pendulum is a 1/4 inch dowel, maybe I'll just add a 1/2 inch dowel to the bottom with a 1/2 inch wood nut.

Is there any way to make wood threads. I'd like to use a 1/4 inch dowel and make threads on one end

PowerPro Question
I'm new to my upgraded PowerPro which was just added to my 1979 Mark5.
Question is, since the power switch just turns on the computer not the motor, will it cause any problems if I forget to turn off the main power switch?:o

Wife and I went shopping at the local Maul yesterday. Stopped in at Crate and Barrel store. They had wood utensils made from Beech wood.
