Re: Shipwright Inspired SPT Cart
I really like your storage!!
I just can't lift the band saw or jointer anymore to clear the posts. I thought I would post my answer which nothing to do with woodworking but it may inspire someone as a temporary fix. Works for me also I don't have room for your splendid answer.

Re: 5/8" Arbor problem
It is definitely an arbor for a Mark V 500 # 555321. No, I didn't run it with a washer or two on the 5/8" quill shaft. I was simply trying to figure out why the blade was off 1/8" from lining up with the table slot. Like I said I normally use the 5/8" arbor used for the molding cutter...

Re: 5/8" Arbor problem
Thanks! Apparently this is a 500 arbor. I didn't know they were different but it makes sense since I have had it for probably 30 years or more. I have always used the 5/8" arbors for the molding blades but ran across this one and thought I would try it to keep from changing blades so much. Also...

5/8" Arbor problem
This is regarding trying to use a 5/8" SS arbor that I have had for years, don't have a clue how many. I installed a Woodworker blade and ran into a problem. The arbor appears to go on the spindle too far as it allows the blade to come in contact with blade guard. None of my other arbors 6 or s...

Re: Making a "Shorty"
update: I think I have pretty well completed what I intended to accomplish today which was a band saw sanding station. I could also swap out the band saw with the jointer. I need to work on the shelf a little but other than that, pretty much done!

Re: Making a "Shorty"
JPG After further examination the following. The latch is "Out" indicating the belt is not under tension. After working a while, I was able to slip the belt off and slip the new belt on. Thus, I was incorrect saying the belt was under tension when in fact it apparently was just the opposit...

Re: Making a "Shorty"
another "Friggijng problem. I got this belt sander with a Mark VII I bought about a year or so ago and it has been setting on a self ever since. I just got to checking it out and was going to put a new ceramic belt on. For the life of me I can't get the tension released on the old belt. I am de...

Re: Making a "Shorty"
jsburger John I didn't install the carriage nor the main table. Didn't have enough room on the way tubes. I don't think I can use the lower saw guard. Will need to check it out. My thoughts on dust control for the disc sander is push it out on the driveway. ;) ;) Unfortunately that's hard to do if i...
