I made this little bandsawn box that I got the idea from youtube. I'm going to line the inside with felt (which I'm going to buy in a little while) and that's why the inside and back of the little drawers looks so rough still. I still have to touch up ...

I made a couple of these for Christmas gifts last year. I only used the jigsaw to make a template to use at the router table, but it's a great tool for this kind of work.

Thanks for the compliment Dave. Yea that wood is beautiful. It smelled so nice while working it too. The pic doesn't even capture the way the highlights move.

I received some really nice spalted cedar (which I've never seen before) from Brick1 recently (thank you again Bill :) ) and turned a pen set with it.

Here's a pic of an open box and the lid. I didn't finish the inside yet because I'm deciding how. I think I want to apply flocking or maybe a satin liner or something like that.
