Hello all,
I picked up a 10E last week and yesterday a Greenie. The vent plate is missing and no other signs of a serial number. Are there any other distinguishing marks that can identify the age? The owner's manual has copyright date of 1954 but this doesn't mean much I guess... Seems complete and ...

Photo of Serial Number 1974
Here is a photo of my plate. I read that the R at the beginning of the serial number meant that it was made in San Francisco. A E meant it was made elsewhere, Cleveland maybe... Maybe mine was made in San Francisco prior to the other plant, thus not the need to distinguish... Very interesting! I can ...

Hello, I just picked up my first 10E and the Serial Number is simply "1974". Can you tell me about this? Thanks!
