Inherited most of an under table shaper set. The guard has a post with a threaded end. What does that screw into, and where does one get the parts. Can't afford to buy whole assemblies for minor parts. Thanks

So the rust has been removed from the bench tubes on both the 50's 500 and 80's 510 that I have been refurbishing. Rust cathodicaly removed and the tubes sanded down to 2000 grit. They look good; the question is how to keep them that way.

Have a new motor/power cord/switch to install in the 510 I'm restoring. The power cord installation instructions say to take note of the length of cable inside the head and install the new one the same way. The old one has been gone for years; does anyone have an idea of what length should be ...

I know I've seen a list of set screw descriptions on here somewhere in the distant past, but 'help' is not being my friend today.
Can some one either point me to the post I'm looking for, or tell me what the set screw size is for the speed control handle on a 510

The shaft IS threaded into the handle, the end of the shaft has a groove through which the roll pin passes.

Victory! At least with the carriage lock. Heated again with a torch, torqued it with a huge set of pliers while beating on the other side of the handle with a hammer. Finally came loose.

Have removed the set screws, but the tubes will not budge. They were immersed in water during a hurricane, and bimetallic corrosion is the villain I believe. Have soaked in penetrating for months, heated, broken 2 strap wrenches, and have run out of ideas. What kind of business could provide ...

For sentimental reasons, I was trying to keep it as original as possible. Looks like that won't work. Can't get the way tubes out of the hinge casting either. Bummer.
