So, as far as I know I have a model 500 (Greenie, 1956). I need to find a lower blade guard and I've been looking on a certain popular auction site. Will a guard for a 520 fit? Or any other of the 500 series???

When I have a lot of ripping to do I do it on my table saw on the main deck of the boat. If I wait until about 2:00 in the afternoon -- here on the San Francisco Bay -- I can often count on a 20 knot wind. So long as I make sure I'm upwind of the saw, it's about 100% efficient.

I got my Greenie with all the normal accessories plus a band saw, jointer, belt sander and jig saw for $225.00 a few weeks back (Craig's List). It didn't run, but I found a 1 1/8 HP motor on Ebay for just over $100 when shipping was included.

It's now all together and running well, and I'm happy ...
