Where To Post
I have several SS items mostly related to the table saw function- WWII Blades, Tenon Master Jig, etc. - available, but wonder if I'm advertising them in the right places. Currently these items are available both on Craigslist and on eBay. Nothing has received any interest whatsoever. Are there other...

Re: Pacemaker/Defibrillator
Do a test. Stand within six inches. If the PowerPro messes up the pacemaker the defibulator will bring you back. If the it triggers the defibulator will tose you across the shop. If nothing's you are good to go. :D I know it is a serious subject but I just had too. SORRY! No problem. Made me laugh ...

Pacemaker/Defibrillator
I've recently had a pacemaker/defibrillator device implanted. Medtronics (the manufacturer of the device) advises keeping electrical hand tools a minimum of 6" away from the device and keeping table mounted motors - would include the SS and my router table - at least 24" away. The hand too...

Re: Beltsander
Is your the older model to which you have done the upgrades? No problems? Since we're only a few miles apart, maybe I can buy you a cup of coffee some day

What is the difference between a ShopSmith belt sander Part #505642 and the current model, part #555355. Would a #505642 work on a current (bought new about 1997) ShopSmith Mark V

Today's Mystery Part
Not infrequently, I find parts from my Shopsmith (520) on the floor. It gets rolled around a lot. Normally, it's fairly obvious where the came from but for this one, I haven't got a clue. So let me turn to the experts. Does anyone have an idea what this might be from? It is ½" long. The threade...

Re: Sharp things -- blades blades blades
Completely agree with Reible. Quality blades are worth the price. If not in your current budget, wait until you can. Cheap blades equal inferior results. I use Forrest blades for my table saw and, chop saw, but there are others. I use a Forrest blade set for finger joints. For the bandsaw, the Woods...

PowerPro Buying Options
I'm fairly sure that I'm going to upgrade my Mark V (520) with the PowerPro headstock. The question is how and, as such, I'm interested in the opinions of the forum as to whether it is worth the trouble to do the upgrade myself or buy either a rebuilt or new unit directly from Shopsmith. Since I rea...

Jointer
Dismantled, cleaned, waxed my jointer yesterday. Can anyone help me with how tight the Nut (120377) that fastens to the Table Mount Stud (502884) should be? Obviously, it has to allow for turning of the Adjustment Knob but is strictly a "feels right" adjustment or is there a specific torqu...
