I had my terminologies mixed up.

Auto-Track bearing being the one inside the case by the adjuster correct?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but the blade should only be touching those bearings when you are actually cutting something. If Not cutting, the blade should NOT be riding on or even touching the bearing. If I understand correctly, said Sanding Belt should not touch the bearing as pressure ...

1. There is a guy on eBay that refurbishes these. Check eBay
2. relatively inexpensive from the mother ship, that is how I took care of mine when it had issues.

As a user of hand planes (Mostly Antique and Vintage). I find the most important thing is to ensure the plane is tuned properly and the blades sharpened. Looking good heath.

I have to agree on the 2 beads on the goblet.

Remount it turn one bead off and create a captive ring on the other. and maybe make the stem a bit more slender or add some contour.

Basically it boils down to viscosity (How thick the glues is) The Gap filling/Gel and many other Marketing names are actually medium or thick.
