My Mark V has been stored for the winter; when turning it on for the first time this spring; the first two attempts nothing happened; the third time it came on.
Question: Is this indicate a problem that will require repair?

New bandsaw tires
Thank you! I will refer back to your post when in need. Regarding my comment about ease of adjustment; in comparison to other saws that use flat wheels, and require coplaner adjustment of the wheels; with fine adjustments made behind the upper wheel (removal of the wheel) with four tiny set screws ...

I have a milwaukie 3 1/2 horse; it is varible speed, and has enough power to meet your task it is a fixed base; however it has access in the plate, and a wrench that allows you to raise & lower it above with a router table without spending big $$$$ on a lift; the only downsides are that if you want ...

Thank you! I seen some restorations that look better; however considering the shape this was in, and what I have to work with I guess it is okay; it is a work in progress; unfortunately I didn't take before photo's; however the tables were coroded, and the leg that I painted was severely rusted and ...

New rubber tires
Thank everyone for the replies;I tried the dowel trick with the tires; it seems to have helped; the only question that remains;should I leave the extra gap to the front of the wheels, or to the rear? I currently have the gap to the front. I hadn't thought of the soda can idea; but I am thinking of ...

New rubber band saw tires
I have an older bandsaw with the cast iron table, and no dust chute; The tires were cracked, and both the upper wheel aand lower wheel had quite a bit of back and forth play. The tracking bearings didn't move well, and were cut into from the back of the blade; the single top thrust bearing was ...

First timer here too! I have my bandsaw wheels extremely clean; stretched on a new tire; not adding any glue yet, and the tire is not the same width all the way around the wheel and parts of the wheel are exposed between the edges; anyone else come accross this issue, or have answers, or did I just ...

Fan Sheave
Right; I understand that;however if the control sheave siezes as in the case of mine there is nothing preventing the idler shaft from pulling out of the eccentric bushing into the case while running. This is what happened literally to me. I know shame on me for not knowing, or checking; however I ...
