Hey thanks. My first ever spiral retaining ring removal and replacement went off and on without a hitch.
Apparently the last guy used wood putty instead of grease on them bearings. I washed them out with WD40 and oiled them up. They spin like freedom.
Now riddle me this: how'd my black rubber tires ...

While you were out I consulted my manual.
There's a retaining ring and a fiber washer on the upper wheel.
Now to figure out how to remove a retaining ring.
Apparently my split ring pliers that I just bought at harbor freight are not going to help because this is not a split ring........

My bandsaw started slipping the blade. The tires were old and cracking so I bought two more. As I pull the old ones off I discover the top wheel is very hard to turn.......
