I to still have a lot of my old craftsman tools but I have to give credit to snap on, their customer service is spot on most of the time , they will bring tools to your business like MAC if you need , and most of the time they are pretty fast about it . I needed repair on our semi once in the middle...

I can see using it for checking for a warp in a blade or fence , but for the SS ya can do the same thing with the miter gage . for a different TS it may be a good tool to have .
