Re: Hello from Wilmington NC

JMO there are much better dado sets than the wobble dado , I never had much luck with them , they didnt leave a flat bottom in the cut . you will find a lot of good information here on your SS , I did and seem to have stuck around , also you may want to look into the zero clearance inserts for the t...

Re: Anyone have experience milling Aluminum / Copper with their SS?

Harbor freight sells a machinist vise https://www.harborfreight.com/6-inch-cr ... 32997.html , I have used it on the SS for machining the details on walnut gunstocks and even made mortise and tenons but I haven't tried it on metals .

Re: Adding heat- wiring question

Any pro's and or cons on the solar panel system so far ? we have been tossing around the idea , it just worries me during the winter when the panels would be covered or have less hrs to charge the batteries . one person mentioned converting to LED lighting to reduce the stress on the system .

Re: Wax,oil,grease, what lubricant?

As hard as the others try to compare the SS to and with other tools , SS still seems to prevail , at least in my mind . if for no other reason they are so versatile . I have a old Skillshop that is out dated by many years , it is not as tall even though I do use it as my go to table saw it is not ne...

Re: Small Pieces - Kickback

Of course you could make a sled or just a "V" shaped cutout (as was mentioned) in a piece of lumber that the log could rest in for the cut. This could be used with the miter gauge to make that cut safer. Very good point that a v-block cradle can be used with the tablesaw as well as the ba...

If I could also add in another issue of vibration / harmonics , on more than one occasion I have watched as a piece vibrated back into the blade and away it went . harmonics and vibration on some saws are much greater than others .
