Re: Bandsaw upper blade guide adj.
Hey all. Thanks for the ideas. I forgot I had asked my question in here. I took the adjustment assembly off and put it back on and it worked. So I reckon y'alls advice was right and I just got lucky and fixed it before reading the posts.

Bandsaw upper blade guide adj.
Last night/early early this morning, I had swapped out a 5/8 blade for a 3/8 on my bandsaw and was adjusting it when I ran into this problem. The blade guide adjusting knob is not adjusting the guide blocks. The blade is against the guide block bracket and turning the adjusting knobs does nothing. I ...

Re: Belt alignment
Grooves it will be. I knew threads was not he best term but could not think of or recall what the correct term was.
I have taken the belts off and on so many times that I am not sure exactly what it was I got out of order. I think I did not put the spring retainer on the drive shaft until after I ...

Re: Belt alignment
Thanks to all for the suggestions. It was a matter of moving the poly belt one thread and then putting everything together in the exact order called for in the video and keeping the belt aligned. I had gotten one or 2 steps out of order and did not think it mattered much. Well....it did.
Thanks ...

Re: Belt alignment
I have just started removing the belts once more. I will attempt to take pictures after I have the belts back on ....unless I somehow get lucky and I get it right this time. Reviewing the sawdust session again in case I missed something else. Will post back soon. Thanks to all for the quick replies ...

Re: Belt alignment
Like Dusty I am not fully understanding the situation. However I will also try to say something that might be useful.
First the motor belt. It's position is controlled by the motor/pan. The belt rides in/out(down/up) the motor pulley(fan/floating sheaves) when the speed control is adjusted. That ...

Re: Belt alignment
I have one thread showing on the drive sleeve with the poly belt's edge right on the 2nd thread. The ends of the shafts are not in alignment and I have no idea how to fix that issue. The diagram is for a Mark 7. I have a Mark 5. I will try moving the poly belt and see what can be done with aligning ...

Belt alignment
I recently acquired my Dad’s SS. It is a 510 that he bought new in the early 90’s. It has not been used much in the last 6 or 7 years. While checking the SS out, I found the poly-v belt needed replacing When I replaced that I found that the quill spring looked to be bent so I ordered a quill spring ...
