Belt alignment

Thanks to all for the suggestions. It was a matter of moving the poly belt one thread and then putting everything together in the exact order called for in the video and keeping the belt aligned. I had gotten one or 2 steps out of order and did not think it mattered much. Well....it did.

For future reference, please do not refer to the pulley outer part as threads. More obvious reference would be to the 'grooves' that the poly-v belt ribs ride in.

I am curious which two 'steps' were reversed.

As for the eccentric version, if the narrow part of the eccentric is 'split', it is the newer version. The second screw and washer are also an indicator.

Grooves it will be. I knew threads was not he best term but could not think of or recall what the correct term was.

I have taken the belts off and on so many times that I am not sure exactly what it was I got out of order. I think I did not put the spring retainer on the drive shaft until after I had tightened the eccentric bushing. That allowed the belts to get out of alignment.

I am actually putting the belts on once more as I forgot to tighten a set screw on the quill feed assembly. I need to slow down and double check what all I am working on.

The poly-v tension(eccentric rotation position) needs to be last(after all else has been fastened in position).
