Re: Buying my 2nd mark v 510

I'm actually picking it up this weekend and from the pictures it's hard to tell how bad it is from what I can see it only looks like a small amount on the tubes behind the headstock. I sprayed mine with the wd40 dry lube it worked great for about a day lol gonna give the paste wax a shot this weekend.

Re: Help

If you are going to continue using the bolt, I suggest you grind a ball(rounded) shape on the end(especially if you intend to continue using a wrench to tighten). The shaft has three cup shaped recesses that receive the end of the handle/bolt. A 'normal' shaped bolt will scar the cups if excessive ...

Sanding a deep bowl

What do some of you guys use to sand the bottom of a deep bowl without losing fingers it's about 5 inches deep and about 2 inches wide at the bottom.

Well it was a combo of all lol it was bent when I bought the shopsmith.i just used a 6 inch carriage bolt and grinded the tip round it seems easier to use than the original since that one could only be hand tightened and was always coming loose. Now I just use a wrench to make it just a little more ...
