Any chance it was shut off in High speed and it can't get going. Have had that happen once when I was buying a SS. Got it home, turned the speed dial down by manually turning the spindle..started right up. Good luck to you. Rocky

1/2" arbor with no shoulders for tightening
An arbor question for you knowledgeable SS'ers.
I recently acquired a box of Shopsmith/Magna parts. Included is a half inch arbor with no square shoulders to hold the arbor while tightening the nut. Perfectly smooth...it does have the 5/8 bore for the spindle...anyone heard of or seen one of these ...
