Craftsman bandsaw riser?

Hi everyone. I have an older 12" craftsman bandsaw with a two piece cast metal cover. I can't afford a new bandsaw for a while and was wondering if anyone has ever come up with a was to adapt a riser to increase the resaw capability of this machine. Any ideas? I think the full height cover will...

Sketch Up for design

Anyone using Google's Sketch Up software to design woodworking projects? If so, what do you think? I can't afford CAD software, but I think my clients would like to see 3D models in addition to my usual graph paper drawings... These are fantastic saws for cutting fret slots. I also use one as a flush saw for trimming door jambs for flooring jobs...

Thanks damagi! I had not seen that page before.

Mr. Hickler is a fine builder. He has done some extensive testing on the tonal properties of various woods which is available on his website. It is worth a read for anyone who is interested in building musical instruments.
