P89DC , sounds good to me. What do want for it?

Well, Simon*e could not rebuild my motor nor did he have one for sale. Does anyone else out there know where I could buy a used motor? It is Model C48L2A10 SN C66 1.125 HP, 3450 RPM .

Thank you garys, I have located Simon*e on ebay and sent him a message requesting information on rebuilt motors. I am holding my breath.

Well, folks. The motor repair shop took that motor all apart and everything tested out OK except for the winding in the motor itself. I was told the motor was 53 years old and it was definitely not worth repairing. Everettdavis said he knew someone that had a motor, I sure could use that info now ...

Garys, that sounds like the best idea of all. I live in Sandusky, Ohio on the shores of lake Erie and we do indeed have a motor repair shop. I have never used them but sure will give it a try. Thanks

Dusty, thanks for the info. I was hoping it would be the Cap. Now the burning question is where can I get one. We have a Lowes and Home Depot, but that is about it. Do you have any suggestions as to where I could get one online ? Or what the specs on the capacitor are??

I have done some more research and find that the version I have does not have a starter relay. I have a "motor start capacitor" and an "Internal Centrifugal Motor Start Switch". Could the capacitor be dead? That looks like it would be an easy fix (HAHA).

OK, can't do it right now, but those wires have not moved for 52 years. You will have to
tell me how you want me to check motor wire continuity. Will try to get some pix in AM.

The motor is the A.O.Smith. It looks like one wire goes to the capacitor and the other goes to the motor. Do not see a relay. The motor just sits there. No noise, no nothing.
