Thanks for the ideas and comments. I may have to go this way with the planer instead of mounting it on the flip top.

Thanks that simple solution will save me hours of frustration and tinkering. Confirmed with the seller that driven by the headstock and where the pieces to attach are in the stuff he gave me.

Thank you for the responses. I realize I made some assumptions on the planer that are incorrect.

Gentleman I bought it from had it on a homemade stand, I will take a better look at it when I get home and will speak to the seller about it.

It's most likely driven by the headstock and I will now ...

I apologize should have been more specific. It is the stand alone thickness planer (operates on 120 v), I believe the model is VO3537AA80 (blurry tag). Underneath I could not find anyway to bolt the planer down like the Dewalt 735 etc.

I was hoping someone has done this previously and could ...
