There are plans for a roll top desk in the 1986 edition of the book "Popular Science Woodworking Projects ." I believe there is a good chance they are the same plans that appeared in Hands On. There is a copy available on Amazon right now for $4.25 plus S & H etc.

Pretty slick miter box for the fret wire grooves - two questions: 1) how did you control the depth of each fret wire slot when you cut it, and 2) how did you lay out the fret locations.
