Free Delta Homecraft Homeshop in Maine. Advertised as a Homecraft Table Saw and Drill press, it has the joiner attachment on the saw. In what way is it loose? Is the drill chuck loose on the main spindle? Does the entire quill move side to side or up and down?

Yes. Buy the dust port for a band saw from Shopsmith. They have an entire upgrade that includes a left side cover with the port and a window for the tension arm, or you can just buy the port, cut a hole in the cover and install it yourself.
