Re: Returning the E-clip to bandsaw

I've done it. Perhaps the wheel is not all the way onto the shaft or askew so the exposed groove is not wide enough to seat the clip.

Looking at the parts diagram I see the E-clip is seated against a fiber washer, that could also be the problem.

Re: US Government is About to Change Table Saws FOREVER!

The patent system has inherent problems but that shouldn't be surprising because it's a body of law meant to regulate ownership of ideas that have not yet been thought of. In my opinion the Sawstop patent is overly broad by claiming any method of detecting contact between a saw blade and human flesh...

Re: US Government is About to Change Table Saws FOREVER!

Everybody can have their say. People will disagree, then work out the disagreement, or keep disagreeing. And then we can all move on from there, or not, everyone still has their choice. Even in the very worst possible scenario we will not tear a wormhole in the fabric of spacetime and fall through t...

Re: I am looking for a quiet air compressor for my garage

Piston air compressors are much quieter than diaphragm compressors. Years ago I had a 20 gallon vertical Craftsman compressor. It absolutely screamed. I replaced it with a 4 cylinder 30 gallon Quincy. The Quincy is much quieter than the Craftsman was. That is clearly an indirect drive compressor, a...

? ? ?
I think he's talking about the alignment procedure shown in the manual Russ linked to. He probably meant to write 'right angle corner'.

Free is good for parts. Working machines... not all the time, but there's still an occasional deal for the early bird.

Re: My son's birthday gift

An ad for the InvenTable cardboard cutting machine popped up on a video. It uses a nibbling tool like Beave2012 did with his design.

I now realize his son is 6 years older and maybe using other tools.

The parts diagram still shows only one washer (#53):
