Re: Aligning Extension Tables
I cannot get the tube guides on the main and extension table to align. They are way out of "adjustment" that the adjustment of the posts on the aux table allow for. This is on a 500 upgraded to a 520. I have tried rotating the aux table 180 and still no alignment.

520 main table rails and aux table rails don't align
Hello Everybody, I purchased a SS 500 to 520 upgrade package. The tube guides in the extruded rails on the new main table do not align by a significant amount with the tube guide in the extruded rails on the new aux table. I used the spacer that came with the kit. I'm off by by more than the adjustm...

Re: SS V bandsaw eccentric tubes coming up short.
The question is how do you align the BS to the SS using the old long tubes?

Re: SS V bandsaw eccentric tubes coming up short.
The short stub is roughly 2 1/4 " on all the eccentrics. I did some digging and found the original straight tubes with the stop collars. You are right, no side to side adjustment. It is a bit of a bear to get the vertical adjustment. I guess the power coupler takes up the difference. Why the de...

Re: SS V bandsaw eccentric tubes coming up short.
I measured mine and I get roughly 4,25" on the tube that goes into the BS. I have a "long" eccentric and it is roughly 6 5/8" long/

Re: SS V bandsaw eccentric tubes coming up short.
I do have a pair of eccentrics with a long end. I tried that and the BS is way to high right off the bat. I am guessing that these were for a stand alone mount

SS V bandsaw eccentric tubes coming up short.
After many years of gather dust, getting SS 5 up and running. Years ago, Shopsmith sent me a collection of eccentric tubes and told me to 86 the straight tubes. I did the horizontal adjustment and tightened the hand accessory lock. The eccentric "long" end of the tubes slide all the way int...

Trunnion lock nut on belt sander
Hello, The trunnion lock nut allows for "infinite" adjustment of the belt sander between vertical and horizontal settings. The through bolt and nut fixes the sander either in horizontal or vertical positions. I have removed the through bolt and nut to position the sander at a more comforta...
