Incredible, from a basic controller to all singing all dancing controller with more power ( if I buy the bigger motor ). Thanks for sharing. I think I have to read your writeup to determine if I even have the required skills to proceed.

Thank you for posting.

Thanks charlese

Looked at the forestry handbook. Fantastic help that. Really appreciate your input. The advice they offer pg 3 chap 13 "Install wood at the moisture content levels that the wood will experience in service." So leaving it in the room where it will be in service appears to be the correct way...

sealing and drying

I did anchor seal the ends. According to this forum : http://forums.jlconline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47349 I need to get the moisture of the flooring to within 4% of the room moisture. Sounds like it has to spend some quality time in the room. NOT sure how I would do that and keep the spousal u...

If it works as good as it looks it will be great. On an alternate note; Right now I have only a fixed feed speed. My variable control is long gone. Does anyone have a readable motor tag ( voltage rating, current etc.). Shopsmith told me 35vdc to 90 vdc don't know the watts or current. If someone cou...

Cut off 6 inches. weigh the cut off piece put in the oven for two hours take it out and weigh it again. Use their formula to calculate moisture. Do...

8iowa cupping

I was thinking the rustic look but cupping does have me concerned. Is tongue and grove the way to go or just leave them side by side? They are going on 3/4 in plywood and I can secure them from the basement. The milling was tedious i used an mini mill and a stihl 076 chainsaw. I am confused at this ...
