[quote="JPG40504"]Are you running for political office? Real good 'non-answer'!:D

Next time you drive over a bridge, be thankful the engineers who designed it were 'picky' about the sizes of its components.]

Huh? Is this one of those forums that turns everything into politics or is it about ...

[quote="JPG40504"]I am curious what a 'full size' band saw is. They come in many different sizes(throat and cut depth).

Do understand the ss limits compared to your craftsman bandsaw before 'swapping'.]

Lets don't get too picky here. By "full size" I meant one that is about as big as you would ...

I'm no professional woodworker, and even though I haven't used my Shopsmith a lot in the 27 years I've owned it, you just can't beat it for versatility. Yeah, I'd love to have a full size table saw, and drill press, and shaper, and lathe, but I also like putting both cars and the Harley in the ...

I took a bowl turning class today and the instructor was also bad mouthing the Shopsmith. Then when I was asking him a question a while later he told me he had never used a Shopsmith. Wonder how he knew how bad it was when he ...

Okay you didn't mention franchise, I got the opinion you were thinking of anybody could get into the act. All you needed was the time and if they wanted to make some money the ability to sale.

Incidentally if a car dealer over sales a car promises something that can't be delivered the manufacture ...

I investigated this idea a few years ago to even talking with a lawyer friend who did this type of work. The liabilities that Shopsmith could incur with this type of independant contractor arrangement at that time could far exceed Shopsmith's net worth. The various insurances needed would require ...

Great Idea except what happens when an unethical fellow comes along and promises the moon to sell a Shopsmith. The fallout from that could in fact destroy the company. You don't want someone that isn't working for you to be selling anything you care about.

Although I understand that, it's a ...

I hope they are able to stick around. I have yet to find anyway to have so many tools in so little space.

In looking at the way they do business, I'm thinking they need to improve their marketing. It looks like the only way they are selling these things are online. I remember going to home shows ...

Shopsmith Financial?

I'm new to this forum but I've owned my Shopsmith for about 27 years now. It largely set unused in my garage so it's like brand new. I retired last month so now I'm setting up my woodshop and going to start using the Shopsmith. I've been trying to find all the parts and ordering replacement parts ...
