Re: crosss cut sliding table fence issue
Made some adjustments to my saw. My table is now set-up correctly. Had trouble when verifying setup with a test cut - discovered that my Crown try square is not square! Really disappointed! It is not adjustable; just not square. I am now considering spending some money to buy quality - looks like ...

Re: crosss cut sliding table fence issue

crosss cut sliding table fence issue
I recently purchased the cross cut sliding table. I am having difficulties installing the fence. It appears that the 2 oblong screw holes which are parallel with the length of the fence should instead be perpendicular . This arrangement of holes limits the fence movement to allow a square cut.

Re: Jig(s)
Appreciate you folks taking a shot.
Because it is probably not be clear from the photos, the large piece is tapered downward from right to left. Angle appears to be between 3 and 5 degrees.

I made these pieces many years ago and then got distracted with many non-woodworking activities. Hence, I am at a loss as to their use. Looks like one of the pieces could be used to sharpen jointer blades. I was thinking that I may have gotten the plans from an old issue of Hands On.
