what to do with an old shopsmith?

For starters I am a owner of a mid nineties that I love. Also I was given an old ss, mid 50's, and I don't know what to do with it as it is in really rough shape and missing a lot of stuff.
I'm debating cutting the tubes down and using it as a platform to hold extra attachments tables etc. Should I ...

Yeah thanks! im going to be working on the unit in 2 weeks, hopefully i can get it going with out too much $$$.

Last night I got a phone call regarding my ad on online classified looking for a shopsmith.
The man phoned me and said,
-"are you still looking for a shopsmith?"
*" No Im not I already bought one but I am looking for accessories ...

I could not find them anywhere there! Dang! no dice!
Im thinking I might make some of the big one way jumbo jaws out of some hard plastic. Make it easier to finish the bottoms.

I'm assuming that you used a CNC machine for the faceplates. If you used the SS let me me know how because I would like to make some for myself.
Since I have the strip sander im going to try to get a jig going for doing all my chisels. I like your ingenuity!!

Geez you guys don`t skip a beat! I had a good laugh, everyone has fingers that move faster than their minds( what the old saying something like let your mind catch up to your lips?) in my case I was dead wrong cant put that one off on anyone.

Im wondering what kind of custom jigs and add-ons you guys have done to your shopsmith. I saw one that was a pipe fitted around some wood stock. Also wrapped with sand paper as a massive thicknes planer.
