One bearing to two bearing quill
I have a one bearing quill, can I add another bearing to it or do I have to change the whole quill assembly to make it a two bearing?

The end of the sheave has a nice crack in it that appears to spreading, probably 1/8" long and 1/16" wide now. I think that's what is causing the bearing to tweak out like that once the speed gets down. Sound plausible or is that just part of the problem and I'm looking at further repairs?
