IMHO for a wood handled kitchen utensil I would either use oil (mineral oil or some other oil finish that dries without going rancid) or a CA finish. Anything else and regular washing will be hard on the finish.
Thanks I will keep a eye on it could always sand it again and oil it. Or had enough ...

I used a friction polish from woodcraft 4 coats then a wax. I will have to.look at the containers for brands

Nice job. I expecially like the beading you did on it.
Have ordered four of them for Christmas gifts. Like others, have heard of difficulties getting the inserts into the handles without splitting. Someone installed the insert before turning which sounds like a viable solution.

The head is from Rockler I was worried because of the problems I herd about. The insert used a Allen wrench to instal the insert but I did use a 1/2 drill to bore a hole in it.

Pizza cutter

Turned a pizza cutter handle today. Don't remember the kind of wood.
