I used a friction polish from woodcraft 4 coats then a wax. I will have to.look at the containers for brands

After turning I sanded with 240,320, then 500 still learning on finishing

IMHO for a wood handled kitchen utensil I would either use oil (mineral oil or some other oil finish that dries without going rancid) or a CA finish. Anything else and regular washing will be hard on the finish.

Thanks I will keep a eye on it could always sand it again and oil it. Or had enough wood to make a spare maybe thanks again

I have been using Butcher Block on all my kitchen stuff. It does hold up well.:)
