It looks like I need the hub upgrade if I want to use the disk sander with dust collection. I have the insert with the long slot.

What is the advantage of the 520-style hub on a sanding disk? If there is any.

In a wet-dry vacuum, the air sucked in is not used to cool the motor. The motor is cooled by a separate fan attached to the opposite end of the motor.

I learned the hard way not to stock up on sanding belts. The adhesive will eventually separate, no matter where you store them. Granted, storing them in a climate-controlled area will prolong the life of the adhesive. I try not to have more sanding belts on hand than I think I will use relatively qu...
