Shopsmith Tie Clip

Scanning copies of ShopMag I ran across this:
Shopsmith_TieClip.jpg
Shopsmith_TieClip.jpg (112.45 KiB) Viewed 13461 times
My question is has anybody ever seen one? Or possibly own one?
The other question is how many issues of ShopMag were published. I have the first three.

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

An interesting 10ER, Note the extended bench with the 4E jointer mounted separately on the left end, with its own motor . https://ventura.craigslist.org/tls/d/newbury-park-shop-smith-from-magna/6800429852.html $matches[2] 00i0i_2SA28QpRxCj_1200x900.jpg Someone took a lot of pride in that machine. Re: ebay post 4E jointer, Hinge plate and Head rest!

Before I placed the first bid on the hinge plate there was a Make Offer Button. I made an offer of $60 which was automatically rejected.
I already have one. But I'll take another if it sells for less than $75.
We shall see.

Re: You should have warned me...

What is strange is the fact that the page I pulled the 0-8 scale from has a speed chart that goes to 5. I wonder if they were already in the process of changing the scale.

Re: You should have warned me...

The pulley consists of three 'sheaves'. Two outer that are fixed and a center one that slides between the outer ones. The sheave shown has the 'stop' that the 0-5 version has. Perhaps you have parts from both versions. IIUC only the numbered plate and the sheaves differ. I have no idea how the cran...

Re: You should have warned me...

A word of caution re the 0-8 speed changer. I would simply refrain from going above 5. Check the sliding sheave. It should NOT have the step at the bore. The step prevents adjusting until the belt rubbed on the shaft. Never ever adjust the speed and allow the springs on the control screw to become ...

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

Very intriguing. I'll be watching this. Also interesting that there was no "minimum". No, I do not recognize the seller but I do recall a while back that some of the Shopsmith inventory was offered on eBay. However, PowerPro hardly falls into the category of excess inventory and I very se...

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

I agree nobody will steal it. Anyone want to guess?
I'm thinking the thousand dollar plus range.
