If you look closely there is a stop block clamped to the fence at the input end. That is exactly how that operation should be done to prevent a kick back.

I guess I don't understand why you are applying so much down force to the stock to flex the table. If the stock is not flat to begin with then you will have problems. I have never had to push down on the stock to drill.

Yes that is the correct pulley. They are not an off the shelf item hence my statement and I forgot Skip is/was making them. I say was because he has been downsizing for a number of years.

P 1013 is a 3/8"-16x1-1/2" Set Screw that replaces the 3/8"-16x1/2" Set Screw in the Headstock that holds one of the posts of the Motor Mount in place. It uses A 2671 the Knurled Nut to keep the Speed Changer in place. As JPG said do NOT tighten this nut but only screw it on the...

I have 5 speed changers here. The springs all look kind of that way until they are cleaned up. I doubt anyone has changed the springs over the years. You are pushing one spring and releasing the other when you adjust the speed changer. They may find an equilibrium but maybe not always. If the speed ...
