I certainly was not intending to be inappropriate in any way. My wife was raised is a hard working Mennonite family in south eastern Colorado. Quilting as well as anything done for ones self with the hands is a long standing tratition in our families. One of my fondest memories as a young man was visiting the homestead of my Great Grand Parents in Jacksboro Texas. I was given a copy of a book which I still have today written about my great grandfather. They worked the land and have much interesting history. "dirt poor" were my Dad's words when he talked about growing up.....Mom's too, as a matter of fact. Guess I picked up the term from them
