No the company started about 1947, but changed from the ER's to the Mark 5 in 1953.
A manual won't do ya to much good for parts numbers, since they probably have changed since then. BUT the ref# numbers and name of part may be the same...

Oops, I meant to answer that the first time around. Yep, it's the same carriage. Raise the table all the way up and pull it out. Then put the post for the lathe tool rest in the carriage where the table leg was.

You have the carriage that ya need already, Ya need the tube that the arm is installed on, then the tool rest. I wood suggest this assembly because it's heavier.

Getting the specific green paint that was used (originally) is most probably impossible.
I am going to refrain from directly answering your question as I have no point of reference. I have never seen a greenie in person. I do know that there is paint that offers a near match available from Rustoleum.
Being into restoration, you have the advantage here. Have you determined (as best you can) that your machine is original paint or has it been repainted.

I believe you have acquired an already restored greenie.
The lower bench tubes were originally painted IIRC.
If the belt cover is original, it is missing some screws.
The green paint is quite 'bright' to be original. It is usually quite faded.
The contrasting color is 'silver, and is usually greatly changed with age(some almost amber looking).
Originally the Mark 5 came with two of those red knobbed handles. If the quill has a handle on the 'switch' side also, you have all that were there to begin with.
Yes the table pulls out of the carriage, and the tool rest and post go into the front hole next to the 'missing' handle.
You may have an early 'A' sand cast headstock. A pix of the rib on the top and front of the headstock would tell the tale. If so, there is no access hole under the logo on the back side.
All this is assuming the various parts are 'original' but methinks yours may have parts that are not original(good!!). I mention this so that you will not get confused if something does not match 'original' descriptions.
Although the newer(current) handle will work, fit, the shape of the knob has changed and I believe they are now black.
P.S. the paint. The closest available is Rustoleum Hammered Verde Green and Silver.(see Dusty's link) They can usually be found at Home Depot.

Well... only one way to find out... I went exploring into the unit... took my time and felt my way through it... I mean what the heck... saw a video online! hehe
