I am going to an aution this week and was wondering if anyone on the forum knows anything about this BelSaw planer (see attached). All the auctions says is that its a "Bel Saw 12” planer". Is the the venerable BelSaw planer/molder, and what would a resonable price be?
Sincerely,

It looks like a pretty hefty machine.Ron309753 wrote:I talked to Jim at Belsaw. He said it is a model 910. A new picture is attached. The item setting on top is a rip saw attachement thats allows you to rip the lumber to width while you plane it.

Are replacement blades available?
The table surface appears to be wood OR Is that just something laying on the table surface?
Wood (if it is) may be quite alright. I often have a piece of MDF laying on my planer table to allow me to have a longer table (for long pieces being planed). My theory being that it helps to reduce snipe when you have to abandon the infeed end to attend to the outfeed side.
Hope you get it, if you want it.
