About "a look"-- have you noticed that FOX is derided, sneered at, attacked, for their motto-- excuse me, HALF of their motto-- "Fair and Balanced"?
Why then does the "media" refuse to cite the other half of their motto "We report, YOU decide"?
One says "listen to everybody, then decide for yourself".
The 'other' says "don't listen to FOX."
And you trust "who"?

And think-- with all those lower taxes and such, when you and wifey visit ShopSmith just think of the Extra accessories and goodies she can add to that credit card, for the Same total!

Be careful now. There has been NO DISCUSSION about eliminating Social Security (yet). Under 9-9-9 there would still be a FICA tax. Without that there is no Social Security retirement check.

Dusty, 9-9-9 eliminates FICA, meaning employees and employers no longer would pay payroll taxes (social security tax of 6.2 percent or the medicare tax of 1.45 percent). The 9-9-9 plan replaces them.

I do sort of agree with you dusty, there is a horrendous sense of entitlement that comes with socialism but with capitalism there is a horrendous sense of Eff You...

Well just watched the news. Now Cain is saying 9 0 9 plan with some loop holes. So much for a simple plan. Today Cain himself don't believe in the 9 9 9

Recent airline data says that some will try to keep it and others will pass it through. In the long run prices will go down and those with higher prices for commodity goods will go out of business.

Social Security check don't come out of FICA they come out of the general fund. You have been fooled again by your government.

1) I don't understand that one at all.

2) And those corporations, with the return of a free market, will go out of business quickly, as competitors sell at fair prices and take the customer base..
I still think co.s like ShopSmith will play the honest game, like it used to be.

There's where the source makes a difference. From Cain's own mouth came the comment about those taxes being gone, at least for part of the taxpaying class. Don't remember the details.

I would exercise extreme caution in considering a plan, and listen to the AUTHOR before the critic. But socialism has never worked. Capitalism, well, look around you.

Btw, socialism was tried in America, by the Pilgrims. It failed then too. They quit it.
