Can anyone tell me the paint color used to paint the Shopsmith medallion that covers the inspection hole on back of "Greenie" and the speed control on the front? I know it is red but don't know brand etc.
Also can anyone give me their procedure for re doing these items? Spray paint or brush on?
Thanks in advance,

Repainting or refreshing the fields on SS Badges.
I've repainted several using spray can Red paint, also repainted lock knobs (grip cross hatch), speed indicator Dial by brushing to remove loose paint in the field or number. Tape edge or turning knob to protect them from overspray.
Before spraying, prepare a block with a single layer of thin cloth stretched over the top. Wet the cloth with paint thinner. Spray. Wipe the paint off the logo and the outer ring with the cloth covered block. Rewipe with a clean part of the cloth covered board to clear any remaining overcast. When dry, recoat with clear coat to brighten and gloss.
Almost any red will do. Black for #'s on new SS. Red for#'s on an older SS.
